The drama course is an educational activity that teaches the principles and techniques of theatrical art. It aims to develop skills in acting, vocal and physical expression, and improvisation. We learn to interpret texts, create characters, move around on stage and work in collaboration with others.

More specifically, a drama course may include :

• Voice and body work: exercises in breathing, diction, vocal projection, stage movement, posture and body language.
• Improvisation: creative exercises to develop imagination and responsiveness.
• Study of texts: Analysis of the dialogue, characters and issues in plays.
• Acting: Interpretation of monologues, scenes and roles in plays.
• Collaboration: Working in groups to create shows and performances.
• History of the theatre: Exploration of different theatrical genres, styles and currents.
